Homemade Lavender Water

Lavender water can be made from fresh or dried lavender flowers but I prefer the convenience of making it from pure lavender essential oil. Be sure you buy pure lavender oil not an oil that has other oils mixed in.
32 ounces pure water (I use distilled)
3 ounces isopropyl alcohol or vodka
1/8th tsp lavender oil
1 glass container
First sterilize your container with boiling water. Pour out the water and allow it to dry, turned upside down on a clean kitchen towel. When dry, you can funnel the above ingredients into the container.
Stir the ingredients well, put a tight lid on it.
The alcohol in the lavender water is not essential but it keeps the mixture from growing bacteria and it will not harm your clothes or you skin unless you are allergic or sensitive to it. This water can be used as a body spray or linen spray. It can be used to freshen up your hair too. If you know you are sensitive to any of the ingredients you should not use this spray.
