Well, since I got my grocery shopping done earlier this week, today probably won’t be too complicated, like Thursdays usually are. I even went to the library late last week, so we have all the books we need for this week’s history lesson. We are going to lunch today with friends. But other than that, I plan to stay in.
So Tuesday, my mother-in-law called and wanted a ride into town for her and daughter-in-law to vote and other business. I managed to get dil and baby to stay at our house for the remainder of the afternoon. I drafted a pattern for pajama bottoms for my DIL. She wants to make her hubby a pair for Valentine’s Day. I sure hope she can use the pattern, I’m not accustomed to making patterns for other people’s use, so I don’t know if they are fit to be used!
Sometime this week, maybe tomorrow, I need to make a trip to the Amish store to buy virgin coconut oil. I’m in a rut as far as cooking goes. DH and I are dieting and cooking becomes a chore when we do that. Ugh. If it were just me here, I’d probably never cook. I am a grazer, I just eat when I’m hungry and rarely cook for myself. I eat raw vegetables and fruit, sometimes some cooked grains and meat. Hey, as long as there is coffee and tea available, I’m happy.
This picture has nothing to do with what I’m talking about, but I love it :o)

See, I’m not the only one that thinks that baby needs smooches!!!
Absolutely! :o)

Sylvia, I feel ruts in my cooking, too. If it was just me, I would graze, too. What are you going to do with the coconut oil? Love, Wardeh
I am trying to use more virgin coconut oil in all my cooking where I use oil, just for the health benefits. I’ve been reading more and more about it for the past several years and it seems like something we can do to improve our eating habits.
And I’m still in that rut, though I have seen some day light :o) I’m working on a Chicken Noodle Soup recipe that has potential.
