Make A Sewing Kit

For a sewing kit that can hold needles, pins, snaps and buttons you will need:
Next, center one of the resulting glued pieces on top of the other. Carefully fold these four pieces into a book form. Fold the smaller pieces that you glued onto the larger pieces to the inside of the book form.
Use a clothes pin if necessary to keep it folded into a book form and using the embroidery floss and needle, make a blanket stitch about 3/4″ wide down the spine of your “book”. Stitch rather snugly.
Now you have your sewing kit, but you will need to make a fastener for it from the felt scrap and button. From the scrap, cut a small rectangular or oval piece. sew one end to the back of your sewing book and make sure the other end will wrap around to the front of the kit.
Make a hole to fit the button in the front end of the scrap, making a button hole stitch around the inside of the button hole if you desire.
Attach the button to the sewing kit on the front of the kit, under the fastener hole, and loop the button hole around the button.
Your sewing kit is completed now and ready for your needles and pins. You can stitch snaps and buttons inside it too! It has 4 surfaces for you to attach sewing notions i
