Spring Break Didn’t Last Long Enough!
Mar 31st, 2008 by Sylvia
I am ready for Summer Vacation. So ready.
We have made our yearly move from TOG to Prairie Primer. Its a good break for all of us but especially me. PP takes less planning and I can work on research and writing with my older students while reading to them all and working on narration with them all. We still include math and grammar. It just makes for a less stressful last 8 weeks or so of school.
Many of the plants Mark started from seeds are about 3 inches tall now. Some aren’t that tall but they’re not supposed to be. The neighbors are mowing grass and I really would like to have some warm weather that isn’t wet for a while so we can get out and work in the yard.
My house needs cleaning out so BAD. I see it this time every year. It needs a good dusting and I need to get rid of all that comfortable clutter of winter; magazines, books stacked up, afghans… I love the warmth and coziness of winter, but I am really ready to let it go once the sun warms up the ground and the snow doesn’t threaten any more.
I guess I will try to conduct school during Spring Cleaning week. I can usually get a lot done in both areas when I really get busy. Most women I know are like that; multi-tasking is their forte.
And its a good thing too, most women I know NEED to be good multi-taskers!
OK, enough rambling….. back to school!
