American Stir Fry Recipe

Well, its what ever nationality you want to attach to it!
I call it “American” because it is not spicy and it is kid-friendly.
Brown 1 # ground meat and 1 chunked up onion. Drain well.
Add 2 Tbsp tomato paste. Cook and stir until you can really smell the tomato paste.
Add 1 cup water, 1 cup chopped carrots, 1 cup chopped fresh broccoli, season with a bit of salt. Cover and steam til veggies are tender.
Add 1 -2 cups shredded cabbage, Steam again til tender.
Add 2 Tbsp nutritional yeast.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve over couscous, pasta or rice!
Tina asked in another post what the yeast was for. Nutritional yeast gives a cheesy flavor to the dish. I didn’t think I would like it, much less my gang, but we really do like the flavor. If you don’t have it, you could use real cheese, or leave it out for a fresh, plain flavor.
