I’m just a busy Christian mommy, wife, friend, trying to obey the Lord and do His will to serve others.
My husband Mark and I have been married since 1980 and have 5 children. We began homeschooling in 1990. I enjoy gardening, reading, reviewing books, teaching and learning. I’m involved in our church as a worship leader, Sunday School teacher, periodically a women’s discipleship class teacher and in mentoring women according to Titus 2. As a family we enjoy reenacting and have reenacted the American Revolutionary and Civil War periods. We are on the board of the local Civil War group and have enjoyed the new people we’ve met through that.
I enjoy making my home a lovely place, sewing, cooking, gardening and my newest project is to transform this house and yard into a flowering cottage. I have two dogs who are part of the family. Emma is a Blue Heeler and Billy is a long haired Chihuahua who sports a very short haircut all year long. Add to the mix; three big baby cats and 5 hamsters and you can see the zoo we live in sometimes, though the cats are now outside dwellers.
There are so many things that have happened in my life where God’s hand was evident. So many ways that I can see Him moving, and so many adventures that my family has had…. just too many to list here. But God is the driving force behind all we do, He is the reason we live. That is the mindset that I would like to leave my children with and the most important thing I hope to teach the women who come to the t2chk site.
