2. My Mother was a registered Nurse
3. My Father was a funeral director and then a city policeman
4. I was an only child
5. I was an only Grandchild for about 5 years
6. My childhood was hard in many way
7. My childhood was blessed in many ways.
8. My grandparents lived on a farm and I spent a lot of time there
9. My grandmother’s family taught me how to do many old-timey things like making hominy
10. I drove a tractor and a 3 ton truck before I learned to drive a car
11. In highschool I was in band and played first chair flute for three years
12. In college I played flute in the marching band and oboe in the faculty orchestra
13. I studied agriculture and ornamental horticulture and landscape design in college
14. I worked in the Government Documents section of the graduate library in college
15. I belonged to Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity as a little sister and to Delta Tau Alpha Agricultural honor society.
16. I used to like to dance to disco music
17. I drove a 1976 Pontiac Astra that was orange with white stripes from 1976 til 1979
18. I drove a 1978 Ford Pinto Station Wagon after that. Stop laughing.
19. I played flute in an orchestra for several stage productions throughout college
20. I worked on the Appalachian Road in 1976 building the road and clearing trees.
21. I smoked about 2 packs of cigarettes a day in 1977
22. I stopped smoking in 1978
23. I took ballet lessons from 1965 until 1975
24. I have never smoked pot or taken illegal drugs.
25. My eyes are green. My son calls them ‘pond scum green’ and he’s about right.
26. My hair is ash brown…. well it was, now its gray.
27. I had my own library complete with a card catalog when I was 9 years old.
28. When I was 13 years old I took some courses at the local university and led a wildflower pilgrimage of adults who took that course at the school.
29. I play 8 instruments.
30. I like the hard chocolate shell stuff better than anything
31. Except coffee, I like coffee better than chocolate.
32. My Daddy and I used to do some ball-room dancing
33. I worked at the School of Veterinary Medicine Library when I attended UT Knoxville
34. We moved to Knoxville in 1980 after we were married.
35. I eat hot sauce on popcorn
36. I like to learn……. most anything
37. I had our first child in 1982, a boy
38. We moved to West Virginia in 1982
39. While my husband worked on his PhD I worked at learning how to be a homemaker
40. I really enjoy studying God’s Word
41. Our second child came in 1985, another boy
42. I can lose myself just playing with the children sometimes
43. I learned how to cook frugally during this time
44. I attended a Southern Baptist Church during this time, my husband didn’t attend.
45. I worked part time at a toy store and a book store in 1984-1985
46. I was really lonely while we were in WV
47. We moved back to Tennessee in 1987.
48. I got sick and nearly died in 1987
49. In 1991 we had another child, a girl!
50. We bought our first house in 1988
51. I like to walk for exercise, but also do aerobics.
52. God called me to ministry in 1988
53. I like to read but I read so fast that I can’t afford to buy books often
54. I go to the library a lot
55. I like John Mayer’s music
56. I like worship music, if its not trendy
57. I don’t like trite lyrics in worship songs
58. I love accapella singing
59. I love lots of instruments in worship
60. I often wonder if God loved our worship after Sunday mornings
61. I stress too easily. Stress affects me physically.
62. I’m an idealist and often see the Big Picture before others do.
63. I love to teach new concepts to groups of people
64. I like to get into theological discussions with the pastor
65. My favorite color is green.
66. I’m convinced that green is also God’s favorite color
67. Red is a close second favorite of mine
68. I go barefoot most of the time
69. My skin is tanned and wrinkled and my gray hair is fly-away and long
70. I don’t wear much makeup
71. I do like to wear jewelry
72. I have a pair of jeans that are so long, that I bought a really tall pair of heels so I could wear the jeans without hemming them. I feel self conscious in them.
73. I enjoy cooking a lot, baking too.
74. I burn myself all the time while cooking and baking.
75. We had two more children, in 1995 and 1998 a boy and a girl.
76. If any adult knew how silly I really am, I’d have to leave the country.
77. I nursed my last child til she was 3 years old
78. I started homeschooling our children in 1990.
79. I have wished I could quit homeschooling about once a year since 1990.
80. I’m glad I homeschooled my children though, we have graduated 2 already.
81. I like to work in the garden
82. My favorite herb is basil
83. My favorite season is which ever one it is right now
84. I like rabbits and hamsters, cats and dogs. I’m a closet animal person.
85. I have a dog named Billy who thinks I am his mommy.
86. I have a dog named Emma who realizes I am the alpha female.
87. I like to take a list to yard sales and challenge myself to not buy it if its not on my list.
88. I take my dog to yard sales.
89. I know how to train hamsters to do tricks.
90. I lead singing at church, direct choir and build the services
91. Teaching teenagers is my least favorite thing to do besides cleaning the commode
92. I wear a size 7 shoe
93. I am only 5 feet 3 inches tall
94. My children have to get things off of high shelves for me.
95. My children and I dance while we worship God in our home
96. I know how to use a gun and am a pretty good aim
97. I love my mother in law
98. I sometimes sit in the children’s tree house and read
99. When I had small children, I would sit in the play pen and let them play outside the playpen
100. I love and admire my husband.
101. I am a Grandmother!
wow…i dont think i could think of that many things about me…. but im only 29.. i have alot to experience yet.. what part of tenn. do you live?? still in knoxville.. we are contemplating moving there
